In a publication a few months ago, Shiba Inu announced to the public and followers that it was going to release its own NFT collection that would bear the name “Shiboshis”. And as expected from this coin that has had relevance in the last year, the public and the NFT community erupted at the news.
This collection will have a similar theme to that of the original Shiba Inu cryptocurrency, the company’s first creation and for which they are currently on top. The NFTs will be further designed to match the ironic nature of the crypto and the iconic dog breed coming from Japan.
For now the excitement for this new project is still active, all thanks to Elon Musk’s tweet referencing the Shiba Inu coin, which also helped shoot the prices to the moon with steady rises of millions of dollars weekly.
Shiboshis release date
These cute and flashy NFTs had their first sale on Thursday, October 14 of this year, when the 10,000 Shiboshis were released for public sale. And as expected, they were so successful that they sold out within an hour of their release. And because of such success, the developers of Shiboshis decided to add fuel to the fire and make other new Shiboshis to be released soon in the market.
Where to buy Shiboshis?
Currently Shiboshis are already available on secondary marketplaces such as OpenSea which is the most reliable one so far. And initial purchases of the upcoming releases will only be available on the official website.
How much will the Shiboshis cost?
The cost of the Shiboshis will depend on the one you are going to buy, currently there is a cost scale available that explains a bit more about the functional economy of the project. However, it is important to remember that the first 10 thousand Shiboshis that will be re-released will only be able to be purchased through the Leash Cryptocurrency.
The prices are as follows according to the current quotation
- From 1 to 3000: 0.1 ETH / 0.1525 LEASH / $ 350 dollars (approx.)
- From 3001 to 8000: 0.2 ETH / 0.3051 LEASH / $ 700 dollars (approx.)
- From 8001 to 10000: 0.3 ETH / 0.4576 LEASH / $ 1050 dollars (approx.)
Potential owners of a Shiboshis NFT must pay the cost of gas fees after the transaction is completed.
In case the owners of a NFt wish to give particular characteristics to the Shiboshi that they have, for example, to give it their own name, they will need to burn 100$ dollars in the Shiba Inu company in order to have access to this special option.
Another thing that is important to consider in the presales of any type of NFT is the amount of them you will be able to take per collection. In particular, you will only be able to take 10 Shiboshis per wallet. This can help to prevent whales or negative collectors from taking a large part of the NFTs and then profit from reselling them.
Selling them at an inflated cost and also preventing the company from directly profiting from the transactions, as the law mandates.
How will the burning of Shiboshis tokens take place?
As we mentioned in a previous point, the Shiboshis in the sale process will only have basic names with codes or numerations, but after having bought it the owner will have the right to change its name by paying a price of 100$ approximately.
There is the possibility to change the name of your Shiboshi several times, but each time this is done, the funds will be burned in the purse of the original company sponsoring the Shobishi collection. Therefore, if every person who buys a Shiboshi, names it, a total of one million dollars would be burned, which will go directly to the company and will cause the price of the Shiba Inu crypto to increase.
One of the benefits of naming your ¨NFT Shiboshi, is that each name is unique, so it only has the ability to exist once. And depending on the name you give it, it could be worth quite a lot of money in the near future if the project scales to larger sizes.
Shiboshis must necessarily be minted at the time of purchase. And each NFT in the collection has special characteristics that no other has, so the rarity will be in the eye of the owner and among the collectors in the community. But should this progress to much more and a set is developed, this could evolve and reach new prices.
The Shiboshi NFT game
The company Shiba Inu, creator of the cryptocurrency of the same name, did not only create the collection of Shiboshis with the intention of only intending them to be collectible.
Currently in development is the idea that owners of a Shiboshi can use them in games, or in their particular game.
The game, named Shiboshi, will give owners the option to use their Shiboshi in the strategic NFT game. The best thing is that depending on the Shiboshi properties it will have corresponding game elements.
An example of this is that in some of the NFT Shiboshis there are illustrations that have among their features laser beams or similar powers. Therefore, in the Shiboshis game you will also be able to use them and give the ability to attack at long distance to another player. Or depending on the game, you will be able to blind the opponent, and even give special benefits.
And yet, you can still trade them through secondary markets like OpenSea, where you can exchange them for other Shiboshis of your choice, or buy new ones to upgrade your equipment.
For now the name of the game is “Oshiverse”, we don’t know if there will be a change, but that’s what it’s currently called.
You will have the option to play with other characters, and for this, it will be necessary for the Shiba Inu platform to release Shiboshi sets that can introduce many more Shiboshis, improve them or give them particular abilities. Indeed something big is to come from this new cryptocurrency project, and perhaps it will bring more attention to our current NFT world.
